I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that there was clapping, jumping, and ear-to-ear grins of joy when I got a confirmation of this next show with the one and only Emi Sunshine and the Rain! This local ten year old has already performed on The TODAY Show, Merle Fest, The Ryman, and has a gig coming up at The Grand ‘Ole Opry. As well as multiple CDs (she started writing songs at 5), a heart of gold, and more talent, personality, and style then most adults!
She will be performing with her band The Rain made up of Randall (Father), John (brother) and Uncle Bobby on Friday, September 5th at The Square Room. It will be a fully seated, all ages show. Tickets are only $10 (click here to purchase) we won’t be surprised if it sells out, so get ’em early 😉

I sure would like to be in an area where we could see Emi and Rain in person but it is so much more important to us to see her getting the recognition she deserves, along with her family.
We love following her on facebook and can’t wait to join the fan club as soon as it’s formed. We’ve never felt a connection to a personality like Emi. We feel strongly that even at her young age, her talent and even more, her adorable personality is ready, especially for us baby boomers who she just thrills with everything from her choice of material to her “Thank You Kindly !”

Luvs me some Emi Sunshine and the Rain!! I have been sharing and promoting her for months, on other singer/songwriters pages, IE, Kevin Welch, who said she stole his heart ❤ , popular DJ's, Keith Bilbrey of Music City Roots, other groups and all my friends!! I love that everyone is discovering her! Her first appearance on the Opry is on 8/5/14, and I predict that she will be the youngest inductee, in the not too distant future! She is One of a Kind and a Breath of Fresh Air!! She describes her genre as Americana/Gospel, I say it is Country Mountain Blues with a Joplinesque Twist! Favorite song? Hard to say, there are sooo many originals of hers, and classic country blues,…but I love her version of Me and Bobby McGee!! Can't wait to see and hear all of her new posts that show up on my FB feed, and visit her page several times a day to watch the numbers of likes on her page go up and up,….July of last year, she had 399 likes,…on 7/1/14 she hit 30,000, it is now 7/31.14 ad she is at 150,988 WOWzers!! You Go Miss Emi!! You are a star that will continue to shine brighter and brighter!!!! 🙂
